SANCTUARY – The Inner Life of Home
“Some say the world is a vale of tears,
I say it is a place of soul-making” – John Keats
Insatiably curious about the inner workings of the soul, throughout my life, I have avidly read and studied psychology. It is particularly Carl G. Jung, James Hillman, Marion Woodman and other Jungian and post-Jungian thinkers that have shaped my thinking and have helped me recover and continually discover ways of making sanctuary in the world.
I am therefore over the moon and doubly grateful that my article ‘The Dance of Exile’ has made it into a CHIRON (an international Jungian press) publication, where it will be in the company of some truly magnificent voices of our times! My special thanks goes to the incredible Valerie Andrews, the editor and the mastermind behind the book and the Reinventing Home magazine.

New release from CHIRON Publishing: A collection of the best essays from the nonprofit magazine REINVENTING HOME with an introduction about our search for sanctuary in uncertain times.
If you want to get to know someone, listen to their story of home. Intimacy builds as we ask: Where do you come from? What did you leave behind? Who do you long for? Where do you feel safe?
In Sanctuary, these questions are explored by psychologists, architects and historians, scientists, and storytellers. Contributors consider how climate change, Black Lives Matter, and an unprecedented wave of global refugees are impacting our notions of home and hospitality. They invite you to examine your definition of home and your lifelong quest for community and belonging.
